Yes, to rent a car a person must be 23 years or above. (Min Age may be different for High-end Premium Car Models)

Please Note: Credit/Debit card must be in the name of the renter and if it's booked on behalf of someone, the cardholder needs to be present at the time of collecting the vehicle to sign the agreement. In case of absence, the payer's signed authorization letter must be submitted.

In Qatar, Selfdrive is located in Doha as of now and soon it would be available in Al Khor and Ruwais. In Doha, pick-up counters are present in multiple locations like Hamad International Airport, C Ring Road, Golden Tulip Hotel, Corniche, Premier Inn, Education City, Al Wakra Street and Barwa Village.
Selfdrive has a simple and hassle-free process to rent a car. Reach the respective counter and show your Booking ID, and documents and pick up the car.

If you have rented a car under airport rental then you can pick up or drop the car at this location.
No, cash is not accepted. Selfdrive accepts only debit/credit card payments.
No, Selfdrive only rents cars. Drivers are not included.
The person who is registered as a driver while renting should drive the car. If you wish to add a co-driver, you can request and submit your driver's document to add a co-driver.
Yes, there is an additional driver fee. The charges depend on the duration of the car you rent.
For service and repair, you can request directly in the app. We give a replacement car and take your rental car for service. Additionally, if you need 24/7 roadside assistance you can request it during booking or select the 24/7 roadside assistance option in the app.
The contract will be renewed automatically every month until the end of your renting period. For example, if you rent a Selfdrive car for 4 months your contract will be renewed automatically every month until you do not cancel your booking.
Selfdrive offers a maximum of 2 hours grace period for returning the car. In case exceeded, one day's rental charge will be applicable.
No, a refund is not applicable in the case of an early return.
At the end of every subscription or rental period, you can switch your car. For example: if you rent for 1 month, after completing the duration you can switch to another car from Selfdrive.
The booking process just takes less than 2-3 minutes and you can pick up from your nearest location within 3 hours.
Yes, Selfdrive does have a delivery service with an additional charge.
Yes, Selfdrive has a pick-up service too with an additional charge.
Security Deposit depends on the type of car you choose to rent. For example, all premium brand cars have a security deposit.
The security deposit is collected for future fines. The security deposit amount will be initiated within 30 working days after returning the car.
Please Note: Banks may not send you an SMS confirming the credit of the amount you are requested to check with your card statement or call the bank call center.

Selfdrive has different cancellation policies for various circumstances.
All rental cars are covered with basic insurance. Basic Insurance covers all the damages that are not your fault. In unfortunate situations, to avoid excess expenses while renting, select the SCDW insurance under additional service while booking your car.
Please Note: In any circumstances, a police report must be submitted.
Super Collision Damage Waiver, all cars in Selfdrive are covered with basic comprehensive insurance. An insurance excess amount is applicable (depending upon the type of the car rented) in case of accident damage or if the renter is at fault. The renter can opt for Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) by paying an additional charge to avoid paying excess insurance in the unfortunate event of any known or unknown damage.
Please Note: SCDW should be added to your rentals agreement in advance and before the rentals and cannot be amended in between the rental duration or for an extension.
Our vehicles are not allowed for Safari/ Fun drives/ Race/ Off-Roading or Advertising. The renter will be held liable to pay all the damages, necessary repairs and towing charges if they fail to adhere to the same.

The quantity of the fuel should be the same level as at the time of renting. If any customer fails to return the car with the same level of fuel, a certain amount will be charged.
In case of an accident or damage to the car, kindly contact the police and arrange for a police report. It is the responsibility of the renter to obtain the police report. Failing to provide the same, the renter will be responsible for the entire cost of the damage incurred.
Yes, all rental cars have a mileage limit and it depends on the duration you rent.
Adding additional mileage is possible only on selective cars. Additional charges will be added for additional mileage.
Yes, you will be charged per km for excess use of mileage.
In case of such circumstances, if the car is locked for some reason we will provide you with the spare key for which service charges will be additional. If the customer loses the key, manufacturing cost & service charge will be collected.
